Community Swearing In for Rep.-Elect Carrie Rheingans

Please join Representative-elect Carrie Rheingans and other community and UU leaders in a swearing in ceremony for residents of the new 47th district, community members and supporters, UUAA members, family, and friends. The event will take place from 2:00-3:30pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor (4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103). The ceremony will be conducted sharply between 2:30-3:00 and will include UUAA Senior Minister, Rev. Manish Mishra-Marzetti, Current 53rd District Rep. Yousef Rabhi, UUAA member and Ann Arbor Library Trustee Kerene Moore, and Rep.-elect Carrie Rheingans. People, including children, of all religious and political backgrounds, including none, are welcomed and encouraged to participate.

The UUAA community and building where the event will be held does require masks indoors, and we will have some there for individuals who forget or don't have one with them. We encourage attendees to take a rapid test before coming and to please join us via livestream or watch the video afterward if you test positive or are otherwise sick. Our care for each other in our community is one of our strongest assets and a major reason why we join this community and we appreciate your care when joining us.
